New World Aeternum Nighthaven Isle of Night

Dahut and The palatine Guards

I was part of the design team at Virtuos Paris responsible for the Isle of night raid. Released as part of the Nighthaven expansion (Released October 13 2025).


I was responsible for two of the Palatine Knights Bosses, the Platine shield barer and the swordsman. Working alongside two other technical designers. Overall responsible for design & implementation of the two bosses using Lumberyard engine. Behavior scripting & working with animation montages. Cross department coordination & playtest.

The Palatine Shield and Sword

All palatines have a distinct fighting stile and personality. Growing stronger when near one another and using complementary abilities. Players are expected to learn how to manage them and weather their more devastating attack. To even have a hope to overcome the final phase.


  • The Shield barer: The toughest of the four. He buffs his allies, CC the raid and threatens a devastating ultimate.   
  • The Swordsman: The most agile of the four. Always on the move and able to scale his damage. If unchecked he can easily execute players.
